Power Oil: Health Camp Makoko

In 2023, World Heart Day adopted the theme "Use Heart, Know Heart." Our brand, deeply committed to promoting heart health and eager to spread awareness, embraced this theme wholeheartedly.

As part of our “Power Oil Cares for Your Heart’ Campaign, we chose to make a positive impact by organizing a health camp in the community of Makoko. This would go on to be the first ever health camp on water.

Our primary focus during this initiative was to educate the community members about the significance of heart health. We wanted to empower the residents of Makoko to take control of their heart health and make informed decisions to lead healthier lives.

The day ended with free heart and health checks for all. And so, as a brand, we reflect on the joy shared , realizing that this is why we're not just enthusiastic, but also driven by a purpose- to care for the hearts of Nigerians.

I want to say a very big thank you to Power Oil for reaching out to the Makoko community. We are so happy to have them in our community. We also want to thank them for the free medications and items they have given to us.

We have no hospitals in Makoko: Houses on water but are very happy to welcome people who offer us free health care.
